I am currently attending The Art Institute of Dallas. Graduate in June with an Applied Science Degree in Photography. Before enrolling in AiD I received an Associate of Arts from Trinity Valley Community College, where I was majoring in pre-veterinarian medicine. After graduating from TVCC I decided that medical school was not something that I wanted to pursue and I've always loved art, so I enrolled at AiD after reading one of their brochures.
Mainly, I am interested in photojournalism and am currently interning at the Terrell Tribune. We are only required to job-shadow but I have been able to act as a second shooter with my mentor. As such, the Tribune has published several of my photographs already.
I do enjoy working with and meeting new people everyday. It is exciting to be able to meet people from different walk of life everyday - from the elementary school 'Teacher of the Week' to the Mayor of Terrell.
Everyday life is something fascinates me and I just enjoy capturing it. Whether it is with the Tribune for an article or my cousins wedding, I always have my camera ready.
